Citrine is one of the most popular of all crystals. However, the vast majority of Citrines on the market are heat-treated Amethysts or Smoky Quartz... In my shop I make sure to only sell genuine citrine clusters from Brazil, The Congo, and Asia. As ancient mythology tells us, citrine was worn in the breastplate of the High Priest, as a protection talisman and to prevent negative thoughts from #39;#39;#39;The devil#39;#39;. It is due to mythological stories such as these it has been widely accepted that citrine is a holy stone and holds no negativity, therefore it needs no cleansing. Citrine, nicknamed the #39;#39;Merchants stone#39;#39; is also believed to bring prosperity and luck, some people call it the money stone..
This type of citrine is characterized by its many phantoms and its light and dark golden, and sometimes dark brown-golden color. Found in the mountain areas around Tibet, Asia. Phantoms are the little triangles that are visible in most of my Tibetan citrines, these are the tips of the older crystal points inside!
