This is a pair of vintage 30s art deco etched glass salt and pepper shakers. They have a mother of pearl top with the sterling silver cap. They are a 8 sided glass or an octagon shape. You will see they have the 4 row etched glass decoration. Yes they are marked sterling on the edge of the cap. There are also some other markings but I cannot read it even with a loop. They measure....2quot; tall and 1 1/8quot; in diameter across the base. They are in ok vintage condition with items to note....as you can see in the pictures the sterling cap has dents. I did a light polish with a cloth only to reveal the name Sterling. I have for the most part left the tarnish as is as some people prefer it that way. Also, they are a double wall glass and on the one shaker there is a crack on the inside portion of the glass. You can see it, but you cannot feel it as it is on the inside. I would call that a manufacture flaw. (see picture 7) They are perfect for the art deco home décor collector. They would make a great addition to your table.
